Talk about faculty of engineering, think that male faculty. The reality is not always like that. And this is what makes my life to be unique. Yeah,I was one of the female students in the faculty of engineering at Sebelas Maret University.
With the friendliness of Solo City, I really enjoyed the lectures and community activities at Sebelas Maret University. Green campus and campus facilities, assist me in carrying out activities on campus. Means of transportation, food, drinks and affordable cost of living facilitate students who come from out of town.Lecture on Sebelas Maret University is the right choice.
Since I began college as a Civil Engineering student, I've been privy to many questions and remarks regarding my major. I know firsthand what people are talking about when they say an engineering education is a huge investment. Broadly speaking, engineers are people who solve problems and focus on making things work more efficiently and effectively.
Like all types of engineering, civil engineering is about problem solving. The engineer is presented with a problem and expected to find a solution for it.Whether that problem is spanning a river, stopping coastal erosion, providing water for farmers in arid climates or preventing a building from falling in an earthquake. Everything a civil engineer does is problem solving.
Being a female engineering student can often make me feel like a rarity. Female engineers are great role models to invite along to explain to students what they do, dispel some of the myths about engineering, and offer an opportunity for students to find out more details about the everyday work of engineers, and highlight the different disciplines of engineering.
People react astonished and question how difficult it really is, in terms of studying but also to cope in a male dominated environment, as probably most of us have already experienced.
Faced with the tasks pile up, with strict deadlines. For example, wrote, i must collect the report within three days after the lab, and hand-written report. In fact, lecturers other subjects also gave the same task. Even more frustrating again, at the same time have to study for exam. I must be willing to stay up until morning, to finish tasks that powerful. At the time I was finally able to close my eyes, but can't sleep soundly because still to mind at some homework that I haven’t working on. The weekend also should I sacrifice for group work.Through heavy tasks, I'm accustomed to forged into a workhorse.
Lectures at the faculty of engineering made me realize that friendship between girl and boy that may occur. This is not just a myth. Being a female student who are few in the faculty of engineering, make my male friends more protective. I felt more secure and always protected. Why is that? Perhaps because they feel the same boat. Start of tasks, lunch, until we are also more comfortable hanging out together. hahaha
Anyway, being a Civil Engineering student is the proudest achievement of my life! "Make things happen” realising that I actually making a difference, making something faster, stronger, making it real. Like my professor said on the first day, as a Civil Engineering student, I have a big task, work on projects that impact on people's everyday lives across the whole planet. I know, that is no small responsibility, and learning to be a good civil engineer brings the great satisfaction of taking that responsibility and turning it into something that really does make the world a better place.

That’s my little joys and sorrow, being a female engineering student.
